Robert Dreicer, M.D.

Robert Dreicer, M.D., is a staff physician in the Department of Hematology/Oncology and the Urological Institute at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He is director of Genitourinary Medical Oncology and associate director of the Experimental Therapeutics Program. Dr. Dreicer’s clinical interests include urologic oncology, experimental therapeutics, and palliative care.

Board-certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in medical oncology, Dr. Dreicer is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Urologic Association and the Society of Urologic Oncology. He is the Bladder Subcommittee chair for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Cancer Education Program. In addition, Dr. Dreicer is a reviewer for many peer-reviewed publications including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer and the Journal of Urology. His primary clinical research interests are genitourniary oncology and experimental therapeutics.

Dr. Dreicer received his degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his internship and residency in medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Bloomington and then completed a fellowship in oncology at University of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center in Madison. Prior to joining The Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Dreicer was associate division director of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Iowa and the associate director for clinical research at the University of Iowa cancer center.
