Bipan Chand, MD, graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, Kansas City, Missouri, in 1996. He completed surgical residency training at the Cleveland Clinic followed by a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy and endoscopy also at the Clinic. Dr. Chand joined the General Surgery staff in 2003 with a special interest in bariatric surgery and advanced endoscopy and foregut surgery (GERD, hiatal hernia)

He is board certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery and holds professional memberships with the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons - Diplomat Member, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society of Bariatric Surgery and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
